Thanks to PMPDblog for the awesome review!
Pinsky is from the less-emo-more-rock school of thought. They sauntered on to the scene with Two for the Road in 2009 and are now establishing themselves with Losing Touch, not only as musicians but as master genre manipulators. And I say that with a straight face and the upmost confidence because the sound birthed on Losing Touch is more of a patchwork of sonic influences than an homage to any one genre. Scattered throughout the album are melodies brought about by years of listening to Brand New, life affirming lyrics inspirit of Latterman, and hints of classical emo reverberation layered on to form a delicious tiramisu of tenor and tone.
